We are an association of Public Facility Custodians in the great State of Wyoming. For over 60 years our organization has been serving our members, connecting with vendors, institutions, and the public. Join Us!
A Brief Description Classes Offered by
The Wyoming Custodian Association
The following classes are mandatory classes and are offered with certificate and are taught by State certified instructors:
1. Sexual Harassment - What it is and is not and what the laws are regarding violations of Sexual harassment.
2. Blood Bourne pathogens - How to handle and prevent these mishaps and what to do about exposures that happen.
3. Hazardous Communication - Usually taught by OSHA representative dealing with hazards around the work place.
4. Asbestos - what to do when and if you encounter asbestos in the work place. State Mandatory class for school and public buildings.
Other classes offered are taught by top professionals and leaders in the cleaning and maintenance industries who sell, maintain, and service the latest and up to date products. They have their finger on the pulse of the latest cleaning trends, especially as the country moves towards more environmentally friendly cleaning techniques and safer chemicals.

6. Restroom cleaning and disinfecting
7. Green equipment - The latest trends in environmentally safer cleaning equipment
8. Economic wake up. - Getting the most out of the use of paper products consumed in your facilities.
9. The professional Custodian - Tips and instructions on how a professional custodian should work and interact.
10. Cleaning 1 0 1 - The basics o f cleaning
11. Microfiber process - The use of microfiber to better clean your facility .
12. New age of carpet cleaning. - the latest techniques in cleaning carpet.
13. Window cleaning
14. Equipment Maintenance
15. Hardwood floors - coatings, care, and maintenance,
16. Carpet Maintenance
17. Going Green - the latest in environmentally safer cleaning products
18. Can Liners - All you need to know about the best trash disposal methods and trash can liners.
19. Indoor Air quality - the basics of air circulation and air handler maintenance
20. VT floors - caring for and maintaining vinyl tile floors. Involves waxing, stripping, buffing and burnishing.
21. Doors and Locks - Maintenance and care of all types of doors and locking/security systems.
22. Boiler room - Basics in Boiler maintenance
23. New age of lighting - Dealing with new and different types of lighting systems.
Other types of classes that have been offered by the WCA are as follows:
FISH - a motivational class about maintaining and improving the work place .
Custodian Talk - An interactive class designed to draw on the experience of fellow professionals to offer solutions to common work place issues.
Wyoming Retirement system - preparing for retirement. Good for those who have state retirement and helpful for all in retirement planning .
Drug Awareness - (usually taught by law enforcement)
School and Workplace Violence - (usually taught by law enforcement).
Advice on what to do.
MRSA- Infection control issues and the best way to handle them. (a good follow-up to blood borne pathogens class)
School and workplace security- Ways to improve it and maintain it.
From year to year classes often vary. We strive to include classes that are helpful, informative and enhance your workplace training. Continuing education units (CEU's) are offered for our classes through Central Wyoming College for a fee. (see our workshop registration form).
